You hit the nail on the head, Shaun. What is the “absence of God”? Who fills that absence? Believers know that answer. And the answer isn’t good. Yet, God works within us to overcome these challenges and become better for it to do His work. One just has to wonder, what is God telling us through these tragedies? Only one way to find out: pray.
